• The layer featuring Commercial Fusion Initiatives represents companies with publicly available data about their efforts.
• The R&D Initiatives layer represents U.S. public money put to work in advancing fusion science. Entry into the fusion workforce may follow many pathways. The R&D Initiatives layer shows universities and colleges in the United States that are involved in fusion-related science and engineering studies in various capacities, including certificate programs, research efforts, or degree programs.

The map has been compiled from public sources and may not be wholly accurate or inclusive of all current fusion work.
